Chronicle Press is not just an office building. It is a beautifully restored landmark that offers something genuinely different to businesses on the north coast. A space with character, with history, and with the kind of environment that makes people want to come to work.

The website has one job: to communicate that. Not just to list the spaces and the prices, but to make someone feel what it would be like to have their business here. To walk in every morning, close the door on a private office, and get to work. Or pull up a hot desk and be surrounded by other people building something.

Chronicle Press deserves a website that stops people. Not a template, not a brochure site. A custom-designed, beautifully crafted digital space that reflects the quality and character of the building itself.

Every element is designed to convert. A prospective tenant browsing office options should feel the pull of the space before they have ever visited. A freelancer looking for a hot desk should be able to sign up without a single phone call. A business needing a meeting room for the afternoon should find it, book it, and pay for it in under two minutes.

Deliverable 02The Platform

The software Chronicle Press deserves.

There are off-the-shelf coworking platforms. They are fine, until your model does not quite fit their rules and you find yourself working around the software instead of the other way round. Chronicle Press has a specific set of entitlements, allowances, and booking logic. A custom platform means all of that works exactly as it should, with no workarounds, no rules written by someone else, and no ceiling on what it can do as the business grows.

This is a full-stack booking platform built exclusively for Chronicle Press. Every tenant has a login. Every booking is tracked. Every allowance is managed automatically. The super admin has complete visibility and control over everything.

Tenant accounts

Every office tenant gets a company login. They can view their remaining weekly hours, their annual half-day allowance, make bookings, and pay for extra time, all from their own dashboard.

Entitlement engine

Two separate allowance pools tracked automatically. Two hours per week per company for general meeting room use, resetting weekly. Four half days per year in The Studio and The Auditorium, on a separate annual cycle. When an allowance runs out, tenants can pay for additional time without friction.

Hot desk management

Day rate and monthly subscriptions, sign-up and billing handled entirely through the platform.

Public booking

Anyone can find an available space, book it, and pay without needing an account. First come, first served alongside tenant bookings, keeping the calendar full and the revenue flowing.

Payments

A single Stripe integration handles everything. Public bookings, subscriptions, tenant overage. All automatic.

Super admin dashboard

Full control over the whole operation. Manage tenant accounts, view and override any booking, monitor space utilisation, track revenue by room and by period, and manage the public availability calendar. Everything needed to run Chronicle Press without a spreadsheet in sight.

What the project costs.

As a Coleraine Connect member bringing both deliverables together in one engagement, I have applied a discount to the custom platform that reflects the scale of the project.

Once live, a small monthly retainer covers hosting, support and ongoing SEO. It is scaled to the support and server usage the platform actually needs, confirmed once the build is complete, and kept deliberately modest. Payment on the project above is 50% on start, 50% on completion.

Tenant accounts, entitlement engine, booking calendar, payment integration, admin dashboard.

Integration and testing

Site and platform connected, full testing across all user types: tenant, hot desker, public, and admin.

Launch

Go live, handover, team walkthrough on the admin dashboard.
